Kathleen Conboy | Artist Spotlight

All Kathleen’s paintings are based on notes and sketches made ‘on location’ – her favourite haunts include the Outer Hebrides – Harris and Lewis, Barra, North and South Uist, Berneray, Benbecula and Eriskay. Other subjects are found in Mull, Iona and Skye, and, closer to home, Perthshire and the Fife coast.

Further afield, France, Spain, and Majorca ( especially ), with its poppy fields and ancient Olive trees, provides contrasting colours and lighting.

Her favourite medium is Oil, although she also works in Acrylic & Pastels.

Kathleen supports Saint Columba’s Hospice, contributing to the annual exhibitions held by the Art Friends of the Hospice, usually held each May in the Freemasons’ Hall, Edinburgh

Her original works may be found in private collections, in the United States, Canada, France and Belgium, as well as the United Kingdom.
