March is almost April and I realise that we’ve not posted a single news item to the blog in 2018 yet – blimey! So, perhaps I should wish you all a Happy New Year – a tad late (I Know!).
Where have you been and what have you been doing?
We haven’t been anywhere except the Bay Attic office, honestly. It’s not all sunshine and holidays here (If Only).
David and I have been working away behind the scenes. We’re looking at introducing more framed work to the website and have found some lovely new products too. Then came the snow. Which meant that we could work away in the office but, not get anything shipped out (Arrgh!) Then the back-log of orders that were delayed due to the bad weather and the new ones to be shipped – a crazy week or two and here we are. Spring has sprung at it’s almost Easter. Whoosh!
What’s Popular at Bay Attic?
Since the beginning of the year, Matylda Konecka prints, Peter McDermott art and cards and Janet McCrorie and Peter McDermott mugs are as popular as ever.
Did You Know?
We now stock Peter McDermott and Janet McCrorie Small Mounted Art Prints and Magnets AND some lovely Spring inspired magnets and cards from Keli Clark are a must a t this time of year. They are great little gifts too.
We wish you all a Happy Easter, enjoy the holiday weekend.

Really excited about these NEW! little mounted prints. They won’t break the bank, look great on your wall or to give as a gift. I’m so chuffed with them that I’ve most likely posted this post far to soon – as we haven’t got them all online yet (Cheeky I know!).
These little gems of a mounted print come sealed inside a cello bag with an artist biography sheet. They are digitally printed and have a double-thick mount in an off white colour surround. They look and feel brilliant. The mounts are high quality conservation board and just add that wow! to the small prints.
What’s also so great about these little guys is that they fit into a standard 10″ x 10″ frame or 10″ x 8″ frame.
They are great to give as a gift and fit easily into your suitcase to take as a souvenir to family and friends at a wedding or abroad.

Today at school we were making feather paintings. We had lots of different coloured feathers. There were pink and purple and blue too. I loved making my painting. I couldn’t wait to show my mum at the end of the day.
As the first day of school came to an end, I ran out of the gate and showed my mummy my feather painting.
“Aw, that’s pretty”, she said proudly.
“Thanks Mummy”, I said excitedly.
“Now, as a treat for your beautiful painting let’s take a trip to Cupcake Corner”, she said smiling.
Feathers – 5 Minute Story Inspiration
We all sat down at Bay Attic and wrote a short story (in 5 minutes) based on the word ‘feather’, here’s another of the outcomes – from one of our smaller ‘part-time (when schools out) helpers’.

It’s been a while but, today we all sat down at Bay Attic and wrote a short story (in 5 minutes) based on the word ‘feather’, here’s just one of the outcomes!
“Bless You”, said the voice.
Another sneeze occurred.
“Gesundheit”, said the voice.
Another sneeze, echoed across the courtyard, caught mid “ch”, this time the “oo” sounded less violent.
The sneezer looked up, bleary eyed and exhausted. “I think I’m allergic”, said the Angel. “All these beautiful feathers – I mean, not that I’m ungreatful n’all”, she paused, face twitching as she braced herself for another sneeze. “At-choo!” The noise travelled across the courtyard followed by a nasal sounding “Fiddlesticks”. She sniffed and continued to talk as though nothing had happened. “I mean, I am so, SO, sorry. I love these whiter than white fluffy wings – they just look so perfect and the precision flying – even at top speed – they are magnificent……”

Feather is the word for today’s story. The inspiration came from the illustrative cards by Wayne Williams that feature his Angel Bears.
